5th Larnaka international marathon 20.11.2022
The Radisson Blu Larnaka International Marathon is the biggest sporting event in Cyprus, taking place in the coastal city of Larnaka, on the beautiful Palm Beach Avenue (Foinikoudes), next to the salt lakes where flamingos take a breath during the fall is sure to excite every runner, from the more experienced ones to the newcomers.

1000 Miles First Step offers special packages to the groups of runners that include accommodation in carefully selected hotels for the welfare of the runners, registration packages for the preferred race including a registration kit that will be collected in advance by the company and delivered to the customer, transfers from the airport to the hotel and from the hotel to the airport.
The marathon is considered one of the most popular races in Europe despite being relatively new, with runners of all ages, from 75 different countries.

Aid Stations: Water supply stations: at the 5 km mark and every 2.5 km following this point and at the finish.
First Aid Stations: along the route and at the finish
Refreshments: provision of isotonic beverages, energy drinks, juices, and water is available at the finish line and at stations throughout the route.
Award Medals: participants will receive a certificate, medal, and electronic personal timing.
Timing: The electronic timing of the race as well as the publication of the results has been undertaken by an official timekeeping company.
The Race ends at 13:00, 6 hours after the start.
Rehabilitation services (massage): for runners who wish to make use of this service
Photos: professional photographers will take photos for free at the starting and the ending point and at several points along the route
Runners can search through the database on the official website of the Larnaka marathon.
Equipment Storage: Runners may place their personal items in a plastic bag. The bag with their personal items must be handed in at least 40 minutes before the starting time of the race, at the starting area.
Parking: available parking spaces around the starting point of the Race.
Part of the roads will be closed from 6:00 to 13:00

The 5th Radisson Blu Larnaka International Marathon has some upgrades such as a new route for each race of the following races: 42KM, 21KM, 10 KM, and 5KM races! New starting times

Larnaka International Marathon (42,195 meters) route description:
The full Marathon Race is now a 饾棦饾棥饾棙 loop, flat and fast, passing by the main landmarks of the city of Larnaka.
Beautiful nature with a relatively comfortable route, where runners can break records and outstanding performances
From the starting line at Athenon Av, the runners will head east and at the end of Foinikoudes, they will turn right and continue their race until the Nautical Club of Larnaka, where they will pass the first turning point of the race.
The runners will then head west to the city of Larnaka, through Makariou Avenue and across Zinonos Kitieos, passing from the picturesque city center and the historic church of St. Lazarus.
After reaching St. Lazarus church, the runners will pass through the Turkish Cypriot neighborhood and end up at Piale Pasa, one of the most picturesque coastal avenues of Larnaka. Runners will turn right then head west to Artemidos avenue and continue their race across the famous Salt Lake of Larnaka until they reach the mosque of Hala Sultan Teke, where the second turning point of the race is located.
The runners will then head towards the Larnaka airport’s roundabout until they reach the third turning point of the race. The runners will then head east and return to the coastal avenue of Piale Pasa, pass by the Medieval castle of the city and finish the race at Foinikoudes, in front of the Larnaka Town Hall.

From the starting line at Europe Square, in Foinikoudes the runners are heading east. At the end of Foinikoudes, the runners will turn right at Makariou Avenue.
Then, the runners will continue their journey to the east part of the city until they reach the Nautical Club of Larnaka, where there is a turning point. The runners will then head west to the city of Larnaka, through Makariou Avenue and across Zinonos Kitieos, passing from the picturesque city center and the historic church of St. Lazarus.
After reaching St. Lazarus church, the runners will pass through the Turkish Cypriot neighborhood and end up at Piale Pasa, one of the most picturesque coastal avenues of Larnaka. Runners will turn left and head east, passing by the Medieval castle and finish the race at Foinikoudes, in front of the Larnaka Town Hall.

From the starting line at Europe Square, in Foinikoudes the runners head east and after the end of Foinikoudes, they turn right to Makariou avenue. The runners continue their race until they reach the 1st km, where there is a turning point. The runners will then head west to the city of Larnaka, through Makariou Avenue, and across Zinonos Kitieos, passing from the picturesque city center and the historic church of Saint Lazaros.
After reaching Saint Lazaros church, runners will pass through the Turkish Cypriot neighborhoods and end up at Piale Pasa, one of the most picturesque coastal avenues of Larnaka. Runners will turn left and head east, passing from the Medieval castle and finish the race at Foinikoudes, in front of the Larnaka Municipality
